Oban Sea School offers quality sailing instruction from a very knowledgeable, capable and experienced instructor, on a modern, comfortable and well fitted out yacht.
Oban Sea School is suitable for all abilities – no previous experience is necessary. Individuals, groups and families are all welcome on board.
Recognised RYA Training Centre based at James Watt Dock Marina in Greenock, delivering accredited RYA courses in and around the tidal waters of the Firth of Clyde.
Courses are delivered on board the Rival 41 sail training yacht ‘East End Endeavour’.
Sailing from Badachro on the Minch gives access to some of the most beautiful and remote waters in the British Isles and offers great flexibility afforded by the sailing area to respond to conditions and syllabus requirements.
The Inner Sound and Sound of Sleat provide sheltered waters with stunning backdrops ideal for those taking their first steps as crew or those who are taking charge of a boat for the first time as Day Skippers, while sailing on the Minch itself offers the opportunity for longer passages and more complex pilotage and navigation suitable for those who are looking to advance their skills .
